[Poetry] Night Waltz

We waltzed past the milky way
As meteors passed us by.
We twirled beside constellations
That lit up the onyx sky.

We followed the moonlight
That guided us to each other,
And in this moment before dawn,
We will dance forever.

“Be brave with me,” he whispered.
His eyes pleaded with mine.
“We keep dancing around each other,
Let’s not waste any more time.”

With a hand cupping my cheek,
He pulled me in for a kiss.
That was when I discovered
The meaning of bliss.

I’m Glad I Live In A World Where There Are Octobers—Year 2019

From Halloween and New York Comic Con preparations to studying for midterms and digging out scarves, October means a lot of things to a lot of people. For me, October is the month of new beginnings—it is to me what January is to most people.
