They tried to dim her light
With taunts,
With words,
With trying to make
Her feel ignored.
But she had a light
Born of stardust
And moonbeams,
As bright as the sun,
As undying as a dream.
And so they learned
She could never be tamed,
And even if they broke her,
The light shone through anyway.

Agreed that we never know what tomorrow holds, but can always rely on the light within us. And sometime, it may be hard for us to find that light, but if we persevere, that light will always find a way to flicker.
